The Hallmark Homes service continues beyond the handover of your keys, with your 12-month defect liability period commencing on the date of practical completion. Our dedicated Warranty and Maintenance Department will assist you with any defect items you notice during this 12-month period.

No, due to copyright laws, we’re unable to construct other builders’ designs. However, as we have over 50 single and double-storey home designs unique to Hallmark Homes, we’re sure you’ll find the home design of your dreams among our extensive range!  

Don’t forget that each Hallmark Homes house design has a range of façade options for you to select from that increases the home design options available to you.

Deciding whether to build a single or double storey house is one of the most crucial decisions you’ll face as a homebuyer. Depending on your personal situation and block, there can be both pros and cons to building either a single or double storey home.  

For example, single storey homes are usually better positioned to take advantage of natural light and are generally easier for climate control. On the other hand, by building up, double storey homes are better for maximising space on small blocks and are easier to create privacy in as you can locate bedrooms on the upper floor and living areas on the lower floor.

We have specialist Colour Consultants who will personally guide you through this process. This takes place at our onsite Colour Selection Centre – ‘Select by Hallmark’ – which is located at our Head Office in Southport

When you meet with your consultant, they will personally guide you to bring your dreams to life and answer any of your questions. Your Hallmark Homes Colour Consultant will ensure that everything you choose works together seamlessly, both inside and out.

Our Building Process

Take a look at our 10 step building process, which outlines exactly what you can expect when you build with us.

Due to workplace health and safety regulations and the hazards associated with building a new home, it isn’t possible to visit the construction site unsupervised. However, if you need to visit the site, please contact your Supervisor to request a site visit at a mutually convenient time.

This is for your own personal safety and protection. We understand that your block is your property, however, for legal reasons, we’re obligated to control the construction site during the build process and control any hazards that may be present.   

During the build process, a Hallmark Homes Building Supervisor will oversee all aspects of your new home construction. As soon as construction commences, you’ll be given your Supervisor’s mobile number so you can communicate with them directly. Throughout the build process, your Supervisor will contact you weekly to keep you up-to-date on the build.

We don’t assist with the knockdown of your existing home. However, we can build on your cleared block once the knockdown process is complete.

Government Grants

The Queensland First Home Owners’ Grant helps eligible first-time homebuyers by providing a $15,000 grant towards building your new Hallmark home. 

As there are important criteria that you’ll need to meet to access the QLD First Home Owners’ Grant, we encourage all homebuyers to check out the eligibility information for the First Home Owners’ Grant on the Queensland Government website.   

Hallmark Homes’ Sales Consultants are happy to assist you with information on applying for the QLD First Home Owners’ Grant. However, we encourage all homebuyers who are thinking about applying for the Home Owner Grant in QLD to visit the Queensland Government website. This is the best source of information about applying for the Grant in Queensland, including eligibility, the application process, supporting documents and more.
