It’s a question we are asked constantly – why don’t Hallmark furnish their display homes? Here are the main reasons our display homes are naked. Once you read them, we’re sure you’ll agree that it makes sense!
We’ve got nothing to hide
Because furniture isn’t included in the price, we don’t put it in our display homes – so you won’t be distracted by sofas and sideboards. You can fully focus on the quality of the home itself. That’s hard to do in some of our competitors’ display homes, which have lots of bells and whistles designed to entice you into falling in love with a dream you can probably never afford. Because our display homes are naked, you remember more about the house itself, rather than the upgrades and extras that can distract you from what really matters.
What you see is what you get
Many home builders add fancy outdoor kitchens, resort-style pools, timber bi-folds and other aspirational ‘hooks’ to reel you in. While this may wow you initially, in the end it can lead to disappointment at hand over, when the home you can actually afford simply doesn’t live up to the high expectations set by the ‘spec-ed up’ display home. At Hallmark, our aim is to strip away the seductive illusion that styling and decorating can have on the experience of a display, so you can see it for what it really is.
Going naked saves you money
Having naked display homes saves us money, which in turn, we can pass on to you in the form of more affordably priced houses. We have about 20 display homes around South East Queensland. It would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to style and decorate all these homes, not to mention the fact that they would need to be updated every couple of years. Quite frankly, we’d rather save the money, lower our overheads and pass on the savings to our customers. This has always been an important part of our strategy to provide our customers with homes that offer excellent quality at a great value price.
